  • I really like the artwork for this single. However, at the Killarney gig I found his rendering of the Magazine song quite limp and unappealing. I prefer the original version though perhaps the studio version will sound better than the live one. Here's hoping that will be the case.

  • I think Morrissey´s version of Floorboards is bloody good (don´t forget, apart from Devoto, nobody else can possibly do the song justice...). It´s a great song and you have to be a complete prat to fuck it up.

Can't wait! Moz looks fucking brilliant in the 1st cover - in a tuxedo holding a beer bottle. Quality!!

  • Can this fantastic song capture a No. 1 spot for Morrissey? It's certainly got the strength to, so we shall see...

As for the b-side, it looks like it will be a great song. I'm eager to hear the studio version of "Ganglord" because it sounds excellent live. Hopefully, the studio version of the song will be able to match the greatness of the live version (something that Jack The Ripper couldn't achieve).

I do hope that "I'm Playing Easy To Get" will be featured on the next single.

Overall, it should be pretty good.

  • Is a great cover. And clutching a bottle in the morning sun of a long night out, vary good.

Moz and booze have been related more and more recently. As a drunkard, I hope he too becomes entwined with the gentle lap of the warming waves... I'd love to hear Morrissey's pissed up writing. Or have we already in 'Boy Racer'?

Anyone who doesn't drink doesn't know what the hell thier talking about.

  • Why are about half the users of this site so negative all the time? I realise that, unfortunately, Morrissey sometimes attracts the depressed outcasts (which is fair enough) but, please, stop complaining - for your own good as well as ours. If you don't like the choice of single, don't buy it. Simple, isn't it? As for the artwork on the cover... how much more pedantic are you going to get? You don't like it because he looks too old? The thing is, Morrissey IS that old, that's how he looks.
Now look what you've made me do; write a long rant. I'll be posting NME-style album and gig reviews next... You know who you are!!

  • Nice cover. But put the tip of your finger over his quiff and you will see exactly how he will look in 5-10 years when he will be bald. This is the "baldest" pic of our Moz yet. Yes, the tip of your finger over the quiff, and voila! Moz in a couple of years.

Soon he will be the spokesman for even more people! For Kojak, Captain Picard, me, and Gandhi.
    Way to go Moz!

  • The video for "The Youngest..." premiered (I think....) on VH2 this morning. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it features Moz, playing the Youngest, in handcuffs being taken to a car by Italian police - played by the band, including Alain. Paparazzi surround the car. Throughout the video, Moz has a constant smile on his face - "A lop-sided grin...." which eventually turns into laughter when he's inside the car. The video is in black and white.

It's a great video, certainly one of Morrissey's best.
