After all that, Morrissey arrived on the shores of the UK and knocked over most of the competition, like a general going into battle in Canada. I find it funny that the music world operates like a drugs cartel.

reached number one. With relatively low selling acts like Moz, it really depends on the competition unlike, say, Oasis who can get to number one any time. Moz can sell about 25,000-30,000 singles maximum in one week (Oasis can manage 100,000); there are a few weeks in the year when 25,000 will get you a number one such as two weeks ago but alas not this week.
YHKM is a nice song but not a classic. The chorus is subtle but the song is not hugely pleasing like First of the Gang or Everyday. It did quite well considering even Xfm hardly lpayed it. I've not ehard the album yet but if there are better songs on there, he should get a couple more top 10's but pretty much zero chance of a number 1.
