You've heard the rumors. This band and that is playing an unannounced showcase somewhere during the festival. They're true, of course, but the best is the one that didn't happen: Morrissey's advance team was investigating the tiny Mean-Eyed Cat on West Fifth Street for a possible MTV-sponsored pop-in by the Mozzer (who, like the owners, is a rockabilly freak) when they caught a whiff of Pok-e-Jo's barbecue up the street, and the show was scotched quicker than you can say Meat Is Murder. Good luck finding a place that doesn't smell like roasted animal flesh this week, yo.

yesterday, i briefly popped in to the Filter "listening party" at Cedar Street and they were actually serving barbeque! it's a step beyond the criminal offense of allowing barbeque aroma from down the road to gain entrance to the building. Maybe if they had burned a giant incense stick and put a fan out to blow the odors in the other direction.....

now, those Filter guys had to know that this wasn't cool in the Morrissey world, so I wonder what was up with that?

Ended up leaving more because it had been pouring rain up until that point and about half of the courtyard was a puddle of water.

Zane Lowe - BBC Radio1 Interview (Score:0)
Zane Lowe was presenting live on BBC Radio 1 from a (the) bbq that night. I was driving home when, to my surprise, he questioned live on air why Morrissey had not turned up to be interviewed that night. While (allegedly) eating a burger at the same time !!!!

you know, you can lead a new zealander to water...

..it has a nice veggie grill two doors away on Congress and there's a great Mexican restaurant across the street that does awesome breakfasts. Plus, you can get a tattoo next door at Southside Tattoos.

Gosh and hasn't Andy lost weight since his Manchester vs. Cancer appearance with Marr? Must've been some sort of crash diet, he makes the Mozzer look positively porky now by comparison.

Will we be seeing "Girl Least Likely To" on the upcoming setlists?

      (I hope not!)
