Joyce is fast becoming a total joke, a sad pathetic waste of space, who has forced the latter history of the Smiths to decend into a desperate battle of right and wrong.

That is, if we are able to utter the words 'the smiths' in public without Joyce slapping a writ onto it and claiming a percentage.

This is one joke, because he had nothing - NOTHING - at all to do with that band getting where it did, when it did and exactly how it did.

On the side of the good is Morrissey, the founder of The Smiths.

On the other side is the leech that is Joyce.

In the end, whatever you all say in support of the leech, we are all on Morrissey's side here and as another year approaches, I truly hope that honesty, integrity and belief in the right thing to do will win the day for Morrissey through these sad days.

Since when has a drummer considered himself talented enough to claim 25%????? Did he write the lyrics or the music....NO! did he have to sit for hours if not days on end creating the music...NO! Why does Joyce plead poverty when he has creamed Moz and Johnny for money he was never entitled to and lets face it he was fortunate enough to be asked to bang saucepan lids in a successful independent band. JOYCE GET OFF THE STAGE,YOU'RE MAKING A FOOL OF YOURSELF.

whatever happened to the auctions? i've tried to look them up but i cant find them anywhere.

the last time that i had seen the items, i think it was on saturday and i saw "this charming man" @ 300 pounds? something like that.

has that "joyce" character decided not to see his stuff now?

Is how Joyce can still speak of Moz with genuine affection (see Uncut interview) yet continue to hanker after blood.
Nobody who values a friendship, past or present, should destroy it for the sake of money.
I have two people in my life who between them owe me nearly £400; I know I'll never see this money again. But it doesn't matter to me, because (while I wouldn't lend them another penny) I know that what I gave stopped one friend being kicked out onto the streets, and prevented another from being locked up. Plus, at the time, I loved both these people like family and to then taint that with a feud about who owes what to who, would make a mockery of everything I felt, and eveything we went through together.
Sometimes people are unreliable in the material, practical side of life, and you learn to treat them according to their character, but then they go and surprise you by being there for you in a situation far more important than anything financial. To me, somebody defending my name means more than them giving me a cheque.
It seems Joyce has one image of Morrissey as a Smith and another as an ex-Smith, and he's treating the two of them as separate people. In that respect, Joyce can crow all he wants about legal 'rights', but it's clear which of the two men values friendship and loyalty.

The very first seconds of the songs have always been underrated. The mournful beating is poetically tensed and the technic is flawless.
- Barbarism begins at home (drumsticks)
The drumsticks are key to deliver the right expression of domestic drama. Had the song been played without sticks, the delivery would've been completely different.
- The Queen is Dead (intro)
The intro roll was so astonishing that Johnny Marr chose to get Joyce out of the room so he could make it loop. What a blatant demonstration of supremacy.
- Asleep
As a good musical expert, Joyce chose to withdraw from that song although he had a great drum solo in mind.
- Meat is Murder
Cows. he did the cows. So yes, he should be credited for the lyrics.

Now do you still think he does not deserve 25% ?
