It's a lovely song - one of the better Quarry b-sides.

The Slum Mums? Well, it's not exactly a classic is it?

So many people to write such poor songs ? I never was a big Alain Whyte fan but tracks like The Public Image aren't much better than demos compared to Munich, Never Played Symphonies or Daddy's Voice... (dunno who wrote them though)

They sound like Never Finished Symphonies... or worst : all the Southpaw material.

The Slum Mums could have been beautiful both lyrically and musically but it just lacks of a consistent melody.

May be it's time to move on to a new album after such a good year.

Please lord let Alain return to the fold or morrissey seek out new writing partners an albulm of boz's music would be pretty dull Seems like a lovely Bloke but his music is not exactly earth shattering..

It's one of those Morrisseyan tongue twists only he can do.
I still have not heard Public Image, so if anyone can help me in some way I would be grateful.

The Public Image (Score:1)

I'm going to put my neck on the line here. (i quite enjoy that sort of thing if the truth be told)

And say that "The Public Image" is one of the best 5 songs that Moz has recorded in the last 10 years.

Understated, musically beautiful and subtle, a song aimed at us the true fans.

The welling of the music (guitars) makes for a very full emotional experience.

If you don't like this song then there is no point being a Moz fan at all. This is the very essence of the man.

Boz is in superb form.

Perfection.
