Morrissey has been nominated for a Meteor Music Award in Ireland.
For those of you outside of the Emerald Isle, these awards are a 'low-rent' Brits, sponsored by one of the country's mobile phone networks.

Morrissey, Eminem, George Michael, Usher, Kanye West and Robbie Williams make up the nomination shortlist for Best International Male.

    Are there any nominations here in the US? I think if he does not get nominated that would really suck! Why don't they play morrissey on MTV? or radio stations.. They have no taste in Music.. I hate watching MTV anyway..since 1985!
    except for when that cool show 120 mins was on.. They are missing out on a huge genre of people who like alternative..not everyone listens to rap, sickly pop like christina, britney and now lindsay lowdown!
