Morrissey, if you come to Germany, there's loads of obscure p-places to play. Potsdam, Paderborn, Pforzheim, and the best of all: Pinneberg!

If you change your mind, I suggest H-places!

I for one prefer the smaller gigs. MEN was great but still I think Moz is more comfortable in smaller venues also.

If I were an artist like Moz, I would certainly do smaller gigs like this, and I'd do gigs for crazy reasons such as "Scottish towns beginning with P." Why not? The other thing I'd do would be special setlists, like an all-covers gig or B-sides gig, or a complete album, etc.

It was all Bs' in 2002 as I recall with the exception of the 2 RAH shows, Blackburn, Barrowlands, Bradford, Brixton and Birmingham. It's a great idea for a tour really as long as he remembers to make sure the setlist has the name of the town on it so he can address the crowd without offending them and getting the name wrong.

This really tells me he enjoys what he's doing! Apart from being a fun idea he enjoys playing live even in small towns where a small crowd of fans can see him.

I don't begrudge anyone in Perth, Paisley, Blackpool or Bridlington these shows, and it's good that he is playing the small venues, but it seems he is willfully making it as hard as possible for people in the south of england to see him play (not to mention anyone who travels in from outside of the UK).

Well, Morrissey did mention these places in his Word interview last year...so it's been bubbling for a good while! One can assume he thought Norris Green a little far fetched...
But why not play small venues? It's not a hilarious prank, with the joke on Lancastrians, Scots and Yorkshire folk - people do *live* in these places...
Most bands and singers think they have a whole country covered if they play the capital city.

I take it that the scottish gigs have all sold out? Why does Ticketmaster say 'currently not on sale'? That implies that they may be on sale in the future...which is an EVIL lie.

I'd continue the theory differently, though:

If it's "P-towns" for Scottland and "B-towns" for England, it's GOT to be "D-towns" for Germany! and "C-towns" for France.

Why?

Simple:
In the Alphabet
P is S minus 2 letters (p-QR-s)
B is E minud 2 letters (b-CD-e)
so
G (Germany) minus 2 letter is D (d-EF-g) and
F (France) minus 2 letter C (c-DE-f)

Got it?

Duisburg, Duesseldorf, Darmstadt, Dingenskirchen and of course Damburg!!!
