Thought you might be interested to hear that the Morrissey show in the House of Blues, Chicago on July 17th sold out in 3 mins yesterday morning. This was despite the fact that tickets could only be bought online or over the phone using an American Express card. Tickets have been going for up to $140 a piece on Ebay today.

Do you see how much we want you Morrissey?
We didn't want you, plus a gang of bores.
We want you all to ourselves.

Please, more dates in the US.

I was the 3rd person in line at 10 a.m. in Chicago at the House of Blues and could not get a ticket. This is just B*LLSHIT!

        Will there be another show?

I figured I'd get online later Sunday afternoon and get some tickets. Not a chance! This simply speaks to the fact that Lollapalooza and all festival events suck. Morrissey is best in a 2000-6000 seat venue, and I'd be willing to pay $100 a pop if he came to Omaha, NE.

In my Ebay concert buying experience, if you wait a week before the show to get the tickets, the price will fall dramatically, since there will be incidents where people cannot use them, scalpers are anxious to get rid of them, etc.

Mozy is financially motivated so it would be in his best interest to add a second or third show.

Incidently someone with the email address JackTheRipper03@aol.com is an asshole who bought my tickets, renigged on the deal, and then left me negative feedback.

By limiting it to AmEx, only bourgeois corporate types could buy the tickets. Guess I'll just go see Sonic Youth who, for whatever reason, decided that their audience should extend beyond lawyers and commodity traders.
