The Boyfriends compared to The Smiths again

New London band The Boyfriends have earned another positive Morrissey/Smiths comparison in the music press.

On page seven of this week's NME, in the "What's on the NME stereo?" section, their song "No Tomorrow" is described as:

"Highlight of the New Cross compilation 'Rip Off Your Labels', this is shimmering Smiths-pop with eloquence and bite."

MP3s of some of their songs are available at their website, www.theboyfriends.com

Is this the Smoking Popes reunion? Oh wait they aren't broken up. Hello, does anybody remember the great comparison of yesterday? This music and the guys voice of The Boyfriends...sounds very smoking popish...rather than smithsish...and its not anything that good.
