Ok, on with it, the review...while in the end positive, doesn't offer any new points of view. It's almost as if the writer read everyone else's reviews, put his CD in preview mode and listened to the first 30 secs of each track and then, with deadline approaching, furiously typed a milquetoast review that wouldn't offend anyone nor get him accused of pandering, and off he sent it to his editor. Well it's not Rolling Stone is it?
Stuff like this makes me wonder if Lawrence Poole really liked it or not:
"Ever a contradiction, elsewhere he is back in typically unforgiving mood on I’m Not Sorry, a slow burner of a track which meanders sweetly, without reaching a satisfying conclusion."
His review is ever a contradiction, meandering sweetly, not reaching all that a satisfying conclusion. Well at least he gave it 4 out of 5.
