Good news for every single Moz fan out there today! I just learned that Morrissey has just been signed to Sanctuary records (who are also releasing the new Pet Shop Boys album). It's been too long since he's had a record deal and now it's final. The new single will be released on October 8th and the new album follows shortly!

Update: 04/24 08:08 GMT:The section has been switched to "rumors" - it cannot be confirmed at this time.

It was a shocking suprise to see this news posted today. To the doubters out there, I would only ask that you look to history. Frank Sinatra's career was on the skids in the late 40's/early 50's. After that, he produced 15 years of his, and popular music's, best recordings. I suspect the recording hiatus we have all endured will yield us a bounty as fruitful from Morrissey.
