To all British subjects – I extend my condolences about Mother Queen death. I know that British monarchy institution may not be the most popular political structure, especially among working British, Scots and Irish. Ask me, American, and I would question the wisdom of spending British taxpayer monies to maintain the lavish lifestyles of Prince Charles, Camilla and dozen of other soap opera characters... But, let's put politics aside, and mourn a decent human being. As CNN mentioned, mother queen refused to abandon London when British capital was attacked by the Nazis, she showed their countrymen the example of the courage and patriotism, and frustrated Hitler called her "the most dangerous woman of Europe". She ( and her daughter ) also inspired some of Mr Steven Patrick's best lyrics. :-) So, the queen mother is dead. On my TV: Blair paying Mother Queen last respects on CNN. Then reports from the Middle East: but I don't want to open this can of worms. Not at Saturday. Sigh. BTW, I like Tony Blair, razor-sharp and intelligent politician, unlike hmm.. some of his American colleagues... :-)

They're so selfish, they don't care about us: "the poor and the needy are selfish and greedy on their terms". And affluence and effluence are synonymous! Personally I feel sorry for all those poor TV presenters who have had their very long bank holiday weekend completely buggered up by the timing of her exit. Even Charles, Harry and William had their skiing trip at Cloisters completely skewered because of this major inconvenience.

I'm a big fan of Liz Two - but Fagash Mags hardly inspired national grief at her funeral - I think there were seven mourners at her funeral in Windsor. Queen Mummie was ok, despite her soft spot for the black shirts and the Mosleys. Ultimately she was an irritating old bat (Diana hated here) long past her expiry date.

Long live Elizabeth the Second (a true monarch and world leader) and to hell with Charles& Camilla, the hideous Wessexes and the rest of the Royal shower!
