This what I found at www.subpop.com on Trembling Blue Stars, an incredible band:

October runner-up band is TREMBLING BLUE STARS, on the occasion of their new album Alive to Every Smile, available from your friends at Sub Pop, October 23. Directly from the press material: Here’s a quote from Bob Wratten – unrepentant south London romantic, former lead-singer with the increasingly legendary Field Mice, and for the last few years guiding spirit behind TBS – "it’s so difficult knowing how to get smoothly from the Jam to The Aphex Twin." He said it in reference to how best to segue two tracks on the new record, and it nicely sums up the band as well. But the Trembling Blue Stars actually do it very well, and also they make me rather morose – but in a nicely cathartic way – like Morrissey.

As someone who has shared a recent bill with the Trembling Blue Stars, let me inform everyone that they are most arrogant, self-important people I've ever met. They don't know what rock and roll is all about.

I for one have been a fan of TBS for three years now my first song was "MADE FOR EACH OTHER" on the 'Lips that Taste of Tears' album. The music gets better and better, and I knew Bobby loved Moz, which is always very good. I email Beth the backup vocals regularly, and sehe is a very kind person, always happy to send my regards to Bobby. They are coming here on a US tour hopefully, word will come in this week if its a go or not. But these are the provisional dates!

I visit their message board daily, and had thought about asking if anyone in the band were a fan of Morrissey/smiths. They band members actually post on the site (cough)

Despite someone describing them as arrogant.. I have 3 of their albums and they are Great! Lovely songs about relationships and love gone wrong, etc. ok ok most of them make me cry.

Anyway.. mozzerhead I'm suprised you Know the dates already, when on the site they said they may not even make it to the states because of everything that's been going on. It's rumored they are touring with "deathcab for cutie" as well. If you find out anymore info let me know :-)

      New Set DATES! (Score:1)
As the sleuth that I am, I managed to find the new dates on the SubPop website. Some of the dates have been cut due to the venues not getting back to the Record Company in time, this is what Matt told me 2 days ago. Matt is the guy who runs the Shinkansen label in the UK. And yes there is only one date they are opening for "Death Cab For Cutie".

Well I'm just glad they are coming to LA after all, this is a dream come true for me. If your familiar with the free service of Audiogalaxy.com you can download loads of their songs. I recommend them all as they are all worth listening.

For me I just today recieved the promo copy of their new album "ALIVE TO EVERY SMILE" and I am listening to it right now. Its as beautiful as I thought it would be. "Under Lock and Key" is my favorite so far.

      "ALIVE TO EVERY SMILE TOUR"

11-02 Echo Lounge, The Atlanta GA
11-03 Cats Cradle Carrboro NC * Death Cab For Cutie
      11-04 Metro Café Washington DC
      11-05 Middle East Cambridge MA
11-06 Mercury Lounge New York NY
      11-08 Khyber Pass Philadelphia PA

11-12 7th St Entry Minneapolis MN
      11-15 Crocodile Cafe Seattle WA

HOPE EVERYONE CAN CHECK OUT THIS BAND, THEY ARE THE BEST RIGHT NOW.

They are pretty 'nice'!! Lots of heart felt songs and warm melodies..

Would not compare them to the Smiths or Morrissey though.. keep your feet firmly on the ground please!
