Amanda from Harlow (VH-1 "Bands on the Run") mentions the Smiths

An anonymous person writes:

On Harlow's website under Diary Dearest, Amanda's entry from Saturday June 23rd, she mentions that she is currently listening to The Smiths song "Back to the Old House". I thought that was strange reference from someone in Harlow, maybe because Amanda is British.

Everyone *assumes* that The Smiths were "soft" because Morrissey is gay, and they inspired weak-ass copycat bands. They were a hard rocking band, full of misery and aggression. They are the children of The Buzzcocks.

Amanda from the band Harlow once fronted the post-riot grrrl band Fluffy from 1994-1996. Their debut album "Black Eye" was co-produced by Morrissey's ex-lover Jake Walters who also worked on the cover art and took many photos of the band.
