Ocean Blue cover "There is a Light..." in concert

I went to see the Ocean Blue on July 6 at the Coachhouse in San Juan Capinstrano, CA, and their very last song (at the end of a decent show) was "There is a light..." I would have NEVER expected to hear it from them, but I enjoyed it, even if they DID have a problem tuning the bass to the right key! If anyone else was there, you'll know what I am talking about... The lead singer apparently is a fan of the Smiths and Morrissey. He said it wasn't their song, but that it was one of his all time favorites.

I think most everyone who who would read this string probably already has the track. But if not, I have a recording of OB doing "There is a Light..." available on MP3 to anyone who wants it. Pretty good cover! they got all the instrumentation right.

On a side note, Don't you think OB is such an under-rated band?

anyway, all those intersted can email me: achan@teamoneadv.com

I think they have a much better live version than The Smiths.. The sound is much more close to the studio version and more warmer.. The Smiths version live version seems a bit lazy while Johnny tries to imitate the keybooard's background with his guitar.. I saw the Ocean Blue couple months ago at the Troubador and it was a disappointment becuase they sounded horrible. I always thought they were very good musicians live with keyboards and saxophone.. but none of it was used and it sounded very empty..
