Chris Hall of Stabbing Westward mentions Morrissey

Lana writes:

in the July issue of the Illinois Entertainer Chris Hall says:

"...the quieter kids who aren't in the pit, who are the other 90% of the room, seem to be our true, core fan base, and the people we are naturally drawn to... When I talk to those kids after the show, they're the ones who say, 'Your music helped me' or 'Your lyrics have touched me.' When people say that to me, it makes me think of the things I would have said to Robert Smith or Morrissey."

I saw stabbing westward live a long long time ago ... I believe in 91 at the Pukkelpop festival and they played 'how soon is now' ... never heard of them since (until now)!

I live in Salt Lake City and Chris just loves to come out here and play. I've seen Stabbing Westward live about, 8 times since 1992 and have met with chris about three times. He is a great guy and his lyrics are influential to me as well.

Stabbing Westward suck a whole lot. I saw them when Placebo opened for them. Placebo kicked their ass. I stayed for about 3 Stabbing Westward songs. I kept thinking The Crow had snuck on stage to sing. The music is derivative shit. Just my two cents.
