You probably heard Tami Heide if you were listening to the Flashback Lunch, but she said he was at the Coldplay show last night (Feb. 13) and saw him there. But she said she was too chicken to approach him and introduce herself. She said she wanted to ask him to guest host the Flashback Lunch! Damn her!!!!

Funny, because the Coldplay-album 'Parachutes' gave me some very Smithsonian feelings. Like hearing 'Back to the old house' for the very first time. And, strangely enough, I wasn't even irritated! Still lacking the lyrical brilliance, though. But the thought occured to me: couldn't Moz drop the leatherboys and write songs with guys like these?

Because Alain isn't friends with any of the bands members, or at least it wasn't.

I wonder if Moz is a fan of that show. Probably explains why he went to go see Wesley perform onstage.

I have yet to see any use for Coldplay...they are the current "British flavor of the month" for the U.S. (i.e. Oasis, Travis, etc.) I believe a bands like Gene, Trashcan Sinatras and B & S have far more to offer, and thankfully...this country has not caught on!

I love Morrissey, I love the Smiths. I Love Bob Dylan, I can love another band too. Why do certain "fans" think it is so very important to shun everyone else's music(obviously Moz doesn't, showing up to numerous concerts)? Coldplay is wonderful actually, someone said in one reply to a post that their "one hit" wasn't even a song on the album that they thought was good. Parachutes is absolutely filled with terrific songs. I just returned from London, when i was there i had a great discussion with a young bartender about the similarities between Coldplay and Jeff Buckley. Don't think because your English you can say that Americans have no taste in music because the band they like is English too. I just would think that Morrissey's fans wouyld be more open-minded.

Just like Tami, I was way too nervous to approach the great man, and decided not to interrupt his obvious good time (like I've done in the past to others I admire), and feel like a fool. Coldplay is cool; they are not spectacular, they are no Travis, but Moz is free to go see anyone he pleases. If I had his music hookups, I'd be going to see as many bands as possible.

Coldplay are a very bland band. I think that the first song on the disc is incredible and from there on, there is nothing original. The singer must love Jeff Buckley because he wants to sound just like him. I just feel that here are so many other bands that need to be heard and people are wasting their time on the FLAVOR of the month. We can only hope it doesnt last longer. Maybe Moz just needed to get out for a beer!
