Kirsty MacColl's Memorial Service: 11am Saturday 20th January 2001 at St Martin In The Field's Trafalgar Square.

Billy Bragg sang "A New England", as the musical opener; and then the whole ceremony closed with "Don't Come The Cowboy With Me Sonny Jim" written by Kirsty was performed by:

Holly Johnson - Vocals
Pete Glenister - Guitar
Dave Ruffy - Percussion
James Knight - Saxophone
Joe De Jesus - Trombone
Ben Storey - Trumpet
Michelle Drees - Guitar

      Morrissey was at the funeral (Score:0, Insightful)
      He already paid his respects at the funeral, so maybe he didn't feel the need to be at the public memorial service.

      I remember myself reading some time ago an interview with Morrissey during V&I era. At the time, a close friend of his, producer Mick Ronson, died of cancer. the Mozzer said he was so affected that he did not go to the funeral.

      Perhaps that's the same that happened with him in relation to Kristy.
