The other day I was driving home and I was listening to 91x (which is a local radio station in San Diego) and i heard "Girlfriend In A Coma" playing but not by The Smiths. It was by a local band called "FLUF". I guess they just put out an album here in San Diego. I've never heard anything of them, has anyone else? The song was petty good it had a kind of punk feel to it with slow singing.

    Fluf sucks (Score:1)
I saw them play at some crap hole in Santa Ana. There were a bunch of straight edge punks there and the lead singer of the band weighed about 300 pounds. I can't believe they are actually played on the radio.

      Fluf doesn't really suck (Score:0)
Why does it matter that the singer is over-weight and that there were straight-edge kids there? Maybe if you weren't so superficial, you would have taken the time to really listen to the band.

I never knew O was a Smiths fan. This was the guy who once told Les Paul to get a Fender. Fluf are okay by me.

I just listened to the cover, and I am sorry to say that it is really crappy. I usually don't hate smiths-covers, like some fans do, but this one is awful.

I was shocked to read this since I just spoke to the lead singer of "FLUF" yesterday, he was walking past the graphic design studio where I am a designer at... in Downtown S.D.
I had not read this posting yet and had asked him how he and his friends where and how he was doing.
His name is Josh, and I must say they are a killer band.
Funny enough as he walked away I mentioned to my friend that Josh and his band members love The Smiths just like me.
My friend thinks we are all a cult, I just replied that love has no boundaries.
