Morrisseytour.com has been nominated for best fansite for the VH1 awards. Go to the voting page, register (it's quick and painless), then check the box next to Morrisseytour.com. I have NO idea why Morrisseytour.com was nominated and equally no clue why others were not. The world is unjust and makes no sense. Think of your vote as a vote for Morrissey, and not necessarily the site itself. Or think of it as one less vote for Santana and Eminem!

  • How would voting for such a horrible site be a vote for Morrissey? They just want to win. That's all. And their justification? To "think of it as one less vote for Santana and Eminem!" Sure, what ever you say. Why don't we just vote for "other" and enter Morrissey-Solo instead. Like I said, they just want to win. Otherwise, they would have suggested, as an option, voting for Morrissey-Solo as the "other."

    my personal opinion:

    Eminem is cool...despite blah blah.
Santana has their place in rock history

And I can't believe anyone could honestly boil it down to whether the artist has any measurable talent.

We aren't voting for artists, are we? We're voting for websites. The judges may be amazed that the moztour people followed the entire European tour and get interviews, but i'm not. they are part of the endless string of Morrissey fans that take off and follow him.

But let's talk about something more democratic where you got a billion different accounts of the same show...and that would be this place. Truthfully, it's what I define a fanzine as: a place where all the fans can come together and contribute.

It is 'what does an actual Brazilian person think of a show vs. a small group of americans complaining about how dirty south america is and how it is unfit for Morrissey.'

If you read the account of Morrissey's childhood home, in dirty, decaying Manchester, you will realize he wasn't born wearing Gucci and probably feels more sympathy with them than you think.

To me, that insults the people the website should be aimed for, and with that in mind, I honestly can't say how wonderful it is.

  • This is the only fansite worth of its name. Excellently managed, yet open, easy to use, powerful features, and loads of interesting stuff to keep one busy.
Let alone for the technical features, THIS site deserves all praise. (not to mention the rest, but that's our responsibility) ...

    Viva David. Honestly.

  • While we're at it, why not vote for "Paint a Vulgar Picture" as 'Song I'd Like to See on the Show" - wouldn't that be classic?!?! It'll never happen, but still...
