Anyone play this? I have these chords for it, but I can never seem to get it sounding right - maybe all the chords are not correct?
Intro riff:

|--5----5-----------------------|
|-4-----------------------------|

And if you have five seconds to spare, then I'll tell you the story of my life.
D A Gb Bm G

D A Gb
I booked myself in at the Y W C A
A E RIFF 1 A E RIFF 1
I said "i like it here, can I stay?", "i like it here, can I stay?",
Bm A G E Esus4 E
Do you have a vacancy for a back scrubber?
Thoughts appreciated :)

These are the only changes I'd make. Other than that you've got it down. :thumb:

check out this version here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtPkUAFvt1k). Marr originally played it in Nashville tuning, using the high strings from a 12 string set on a 6 string. I think this is as close as I've heard.

it'll go easier if you get a capo on II (but it's not necessary) -- makes all the 2nd fret notes open and jangly. If you're playing on an electric, you'll want to cut the bass a bit (bridge pickup if you can) and boost the mids/highs.

These are the chords I use, taken from this version in ult-guitar (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/s/smiths/half_a_person_ver2_crd.htm)
it was easy enough for me to learn and sounds good to my ears.
Gmaj7 E7 Bm A6 G.
F# GDA
Similar to evergreennightmare's. Ah, never thought to compare these to the one from the Louder book.
