What is the difference between these two formats?

What is the difference between these two formats?

The FLV file is small and can be played on VLC player, the DVD is, as the titles suggests, a lot bigger and can be burnt onto a blank, then watched on TV!

D'Oh! Of course. Sorry for being a dimwit.

By the way, I tried the Grab++ of Orbit downloader, and it STILL failed to get the flv. That's some deeply, deeply embedded file. A hell of a tough one to crack.

How did he do that. I'm mighty impressed.
I'd try for an hour to locate the .flv file but I only found and xml with for me not translatable code. Very good!

However! Could someone upload the .flv to like megaupload or rapidshare. There seems be a curse on smithstorrents when I'm using it.

Thanks.

Ok, I just finished downloading the torrent (.VOB format) and it ends about 30 seconds into Seasick, Yet Still Docked.

Just wanted to let anyone who is downloading the torrent know.

Hopefully, someone will upload the remainder of the show soon.

Has anybody else got this? I got it - one VOB is 1gb and the second VOB is 400mb. It appears that the second one is a duplicate? And it ends abruptly at the beginning of Seasick.

Anyone know what's up?

hello all my first visit here

im the uploader of the bbc r2 files to smithstorrents and author of "you are being watched" dvd of that show

the story is this:

like others could i record the stream? could i bugger just could NOT pick up the url-tried new progs, tried a url sniffer...nada
then i got hold of replay media catcher (trial version)..job done
recorded and upped the flash (.flv) files..brill i thought...til it was pointed out that it cut out after some 40 odd mins...turns out the trial will only record 75%
got hold of full version and reupped.........treid to delete orignal but couldnt

was asked by several to up dvd version so i did file conversion to vob and upped that

had always intended to author a proper dvd with chapters and menus............thats up on smithstorrents as "greenpigeon productions -you are being watched"....im pleased with it altho of course its still the same source-here:

http://www.smithstorrents.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2671

if/when bbc broadcast on tv i will redo it in top quality

until then the aforementioned is your best bet-some kind soul off live4ever.us made me dvd cover and label art

damien contacted me said he was gonna do copies for members here........tbh your better torrenting it (i can put the authored version on purelivegigs if that will help)

OR im happy to help out with damien by sending him 4 copies of dvd with art for him to keep one, send out 3 more, etc etc etc

any qs pm me

see you all around

You're a hero. I burned off the 100% copy and it all seemed fine - I just posted it out straight away rather than faffing about.

UncleSkinny was the only person who wanted one as well, but he seems MIA atm. I only have 1 or 2 DVDs left so I'm in a bit of a predicament about sending out more!

joe frady was the first user I sent a DVD out to and he has kindly donated £5 to cover costs. I am going to recycle this money and buy some single DVDs and send them to users and see how far it goes.

LOTS of people messaged me, so I'll work on a first come-first served basis.

thanks Simon!

Thank you damien ! Happy to help. God bless the royal mail, I only sent that out 5 pm Friday.
This show is cracking stuff. The rendition of 'Seasick, yet still docked' is jaw-dropping; it sounded astounding enough on the radio, but watching him sing it I really think this is one of his finest ever performances ~ up there with 'I've Changed My Plea To Guilty' on Jonathan Ross in 1990.

This I agree with 100%. I was sat, as were the whole audience in quiet amazement as Moz and the band played Seasick. Looking back, I agree with you that it's one of his very best performances.

Glad it wasn't just my feverish imagination. I saw you (alot!) on the video. Did you slip the cameraman something ? I reckon you had a fan there !
I honestly don't know how you all held it together, being that close while he was clearly in such sterling form. I think I might have spontaneously combusted, just quietly though.
It surely warrants a full and proper BBC broadcast, if not a Polydor DVD release ( 'YoR' deluxe for Crimbo ? )
I've been watching it again this weekend, just to remind myself of his excellence, and to convince myself that this atrocious start to the appropriately named 'Tour of Refusal' is just a temporary blip.
