So we've got these pizzas, and on the packaging it says "Stone-baked" - but that's what I'm going to do in my oven, jackass. The worst one of the lot for me is when you go to a restaurant (and they do this on the TV cooking shows too) and they have something they describe as "Pan-Fried". Well of course it's fucking pan-fried, what else are you going to use? Enough with the poncy language and give me my fried stuff. Bastards.

My favourite is the legend "Serving Suggestion" printed beneath the image of the product.

Soup, in a bowl.

Biscuits for Cheese, on a board with some cheese (and perhaps the odd grape).

How about on those big-sized Walkers crips packets where they put 'Not actual size' underneath the picture of the crisp on the front.
I mean what the fuck. If i was going to eat crisps the SAME SIZE as the packet, i'd buy them individually. AND they don't exist. Fuck's sake.

Packets of nuts routinely bear the warning "may contain nuts" on the packaging...

I saw a shrink-wrapped fish with 'may contain fish' on it...

Yes, or even "may contain traces of nuts". :lbf:

Come to think of it, "may contain nuts" would be an appropriate warning label for these forums.

Many restaurants now use the term "house-made" in place of home-made. I only see it at fairly expensive restaurants, ones which I certainly hope are making their soups and aoli and salad dressings themselves. It's quite irritating.

I dislike the abuse of the word, 'organic', by the marketeers.
