Morrissey pronunciation ?

How do you pronounce Morrissey? I have always pronouced it MORRISAY, but I hear a lot of people say MORRISEE.

How do you say it and any thoughts on what is correct ?

My French friends pronunce Morrissey as Morrisay, first time I heard it I did corrected them. :p

In French, Spanish and Italian se is pronunced like sell, sexy.

I can't help laughing when I hear people from Birmingham say Morrissey.

I tend to find that Americans pronounce it "Moor-is-ee". I'm in the camp that pronounce it, "Mor-is-ee", and this is how the vast majority of people I've spoken to about him pronounce it.

Here we say Morrissay in a very latin way of course. I know better because I've heard Moz saying it himself and I know it's Morrissee. But in my daily life I just blurt out Morrissay because it's easier and if I pronunciate it correctly I sound pretentious. Which I am.

Here is "Morrissay" too, don´t know if it is right or no it is just the way it sounds according to the sound of a language addapted to another I think, and in most countries with spanish language is like this too, like in Uruguay, Chile, Spain, ...also in Scotland and France and Italy of course.
