I live in a community of low-rent apartments. While I was walking my dog two kids scooted past on their razors. They said "Let's pretend these are cars and we're going to get jobs." I did a double take and asked them, "Let's pretend what?" The boy (it was a boy and a girl) said, "We pretend that we find jobs, but first we have to build the jobs before we can find them." I'm wondering if Obama shouldn't maybe consider them for a cabinet position. :p

Then again maybe not because he said that when he has his friends over ("which she doesn't like") he has a Mr. Potato Head that connects them all to the jobs. :o

Talking to kids is so cool, but never trust a baby with a sippy cup.

Never trust a baby of any kind. They tend to spit up often. *Wiping sleeve of baby nephew's excretions.*

I had never changed a boy's diaper until my son was born.

I had NO IDEA that he would start spraying pee all over the place before a new diaper was wrapped around his butt.

Yeah, you have to take an extra wet wipe and place it over the offending organ so it directs any flow downward. My sister, mom to the new baby, didn't figure that out for a few weeks. I supposed I could have clued her in earlier, but I didn't think of it. Oops.

I don't understand this entire confusion.
These mothers of baby boys: they are mothers presumably having been with a man. They should understand that any female hovering over that part of a man is going to get something in her eye.
We men, of any age, are that way.
Females should be prepared.

You'd better be careful or else the next time you're expecting something sensual you're going to get an ice cold wet wipe placed over it. ;)

That never happens to me.

No, most people use a wipe warmer. Although, there was this one time... hahaha. I always kept a mini diaper bag in the car, and on one December trip with my first baby, I discovered that the packet of wipes was frozen solid. I sat on them for a while to warm them, but ended up having to hold them under a hand dryer to pry a few off. There were still ice crystals on them, poor little guy.

We used a warmer with child #3. I personally found it to be worthless. Yes it did keep the wipes warm when in the container, but ,at least the way I did it,they'd be cold by the time od use. I lay baby down, get the new diaper, unwrap/open it, pull out a number of wipes (number dependant on the type of clean up), then undress, undiaper the baby....

By the time I got to the wiping, the wipes had cooled off as if they were never warmed.

As any parent knows, there is a short window of time when baby will lay there calmly while you work on them.
Thank God for those snap type fasteners instead of buttons for closing up baby clothes. To do 5 to 8 buttons on a baby's legs would be an impossibility.

Just a note, I am a man and I change diapers.

Real men are not afraid of changing diapers. Just be glad we don't expect you to breastfeed them, too.
