Haven't seen this so far, thanks for sharing!

Undoubtedly, the inside of a Porsche is just a brillliant place to record an interview ;)

Why pamper life's complexity
When the leather runs smooth
On the passenger seat ?

I might be going mad, but it seems like he puts a naughty spin on 'stuff'?

Neither am I, but this seems to be quite obvious because of the unique drop shape.

I love that he hates Cilla as much as I do.

She really is a repulsive and false personality and every member of the public who comes into contact with her only has bad things to say.

The seats are very distinctive. There are other clips of Morrissey sat in this car for other shows in the Brit Girls series. There must've been ones for Sandy, Cilla and Dusty, Twinkle too I think. I have a VHS of them somewhere.

The prorgamme was originally broadcasted in December 1997.

Unfortunaltely you don't live in UK, no point sending request to Channel 4 to add their website or repeat.

If you can download you might find the programme on Smithstorrents?

That's great. I have never seen it.
Morrissey is so wickedly humorous, whether it is intended or not I can sometimes never work out!

Oh I'm sure he knows it, however I doubt he spends his nights awake planning his quips.

I like to pretend that he's just sleeping at night. Then he wakes up and eats something, does stuff, then goes to bed and sleeps again. You know, storing up, that sort of thing.

I love the fact that he's sitting in a Porsche being interviewed (Porsche 911 targa I believe). He'd have been about 37/38 years old - just about right for the midlife crisis induced meno-porsche. Let's hope it was a whale tail model complete with 1980's fuches alloys and the obligatory city boy inspired red braces. We all know Moz was a yuppy!

Yes, but it sounded to me like he said "I don't want to stuff Cilla...I don't want to touch Cilla at all..." I'm sure Cilla is relieved to hear it, either way. She doesn't need your approval, Moz!! The Beatles wrote a song - possibly 2, I don't remember now - for Cilla Black to record, and they appeared on her television show too. This is when you were still in short pants, Steven. Show some respect!

Anyway, I share his love of Lulu. She's charming as hell.

Ok Len, since you're here, I've got a question.

-Is that a Rollex?

Thanks for answering me on the main page.

Ah, very true, I had to listen again because the audio seems extremely quiet on my computer :o

That's great Fran, thanks! I love her voice
(and her appearance on AbFab :D)

I'm in the middle of Marianne Faithfull's autobiography right now.
Another fascinating life.

Thanks Franissey. Who knew when I awoke this afternoon that I'd spend a good couple of hours of my New Years Day (Welcome 2009!) LuluTubeing !? I never knew that was a Neil Diamond b-side. I like the duet with Johnny Cash. Top of my pops though is the 'I'm A Tiger' video. Priceless. :)
