Site outage (Nov. 1)

Site was down for about 5 hours this morning due to lack of free disk space on the server. This happened previously a couple months ago and I'm sorry this happened again. Looks like I need to spend more time on site hardware administration and less time dealing with a few high-maintenance users of the site.

Nice to have it all back. Is it worthwhile creating a Morrissey-Solo fighting fund, donations via Paypal, that sort of thing? I'd gladly pay a few quid to help keep the site going.

what about a membership fee , if you had to pay it would cut down on the amount of people comming on and trolling if they had to pay

Thanks Peter, site costs are covered by ads so that is not an issue. It is more about time for site admin, which I have been putting off and need to shift priority to. One project is to move the forums to the new server which has a lot more disk space and a more recent version of the database software needed for future upgrades.

Not being rude or anything, but doesn't this site get a lots of income from adverts.
I know that Adsense isn't really that proftable, but mybe David could look into getting in touch with blogads, I've used them in the past and was very satisfied with what they had to offer.
