My little boy turned five yesterday, and he adores chihuahuas, specifically baby chihuahuas. Every time he throws a coin in a fountain or blows off a dandelion, he wishes for a baby chihuahua. A baby golden chihuahua, to match his golden blond hair. Of course, at this point, there is no way in the world we are getting another dog. So I bought a stock image of a baby chihuahua and made him a birthday card in Photoshop. When I gave it to him last night, he was completely and genuinely thrilled with it. After opening his other presents, he picked the card up again, and gazed at it with starry eyes, and turned to me and said, "Oh, Mom! I thank you for this card! I love it so much!" We tacked it up over his bed. :D

This morning I received a phone call from a gorgeous ex-girlfriend. She called from 'out-of-the-blue' to see if I was still around.

We started chatting about the wild, romantic times we used to enjoy together. I couldn't believe it when she asked if I'd be interested in meeting up and rekindling a little of that 'old magic.' I was flabbergasted.

I said, 'I don't know if I could keep pace with you now. I'm a bit older and a bit greyer and balder than when you last saw me. Plus I don't really have the energy I used to have.'

She just giggled and said she was sure I would 'rise to the occasion.'

'Yeah,' I said. 'Just so long as you don't mind a man with a waistline that's a few inches wider these days! Not to mention my lack of muscle tone, stomach sagging, teeth not as white and jowls like a Great Dane!

She laughed and told me to stop being so silly. She teased me, saying that tubby, grey-haired, older men were cute. And she said she was sure I would still be a great lover. Then she giggled, 'I've put on quite a bit of weight myself!'

So I told her to f ** k off.

So I told her to f ** k off.

well other than this year you are lucky you have a large stadium, fenway is so small, even games against baltimore in the reg season are hard to find.

but there is nothing much like walking out in the stands at fenway park for a playoff game.

Fenway is on my list of places to visit next season. I am trying to verify information my grandmother told me today. That they are planning to open up Yankee stadium one more time for the fans to walk around in. If true... I may have to leave work early one day.

They also opened up more dates for stadium tours. I am thinking of taking a class to take a tour. Probably the 8th grade.

I'm gonna tackle the cupboard under the stairs tomorrow...it's like Narnia in that sucker!

An 108-year-old cyclist suffered only minor bruises after she was hit by a car while riding across a busy street in Vienna, Austrian police said.

The woman was pedalling her bike across the Praterstrasse - a bustling thoroughfare - when a car pulled away early from a red light and struck her.

Officials would not identify the elderly cyclist, but they say she escaped the accident with a few bruises and was taken to a hospital for an examination.

I think I'll surprise her with a little something, and create some sort of incentive program for them from this point forward.

I'd like to think the good grades are enough of a reward, but it may come down to cold hard cash. ;)
