My friend just drove herself to North Hollywood. You have no idea how proud I feel.

She is terrified of driving in a city. I've taken countless trains to the outskirts of LA to fetch her, her latest barrier was Thousand Oaks, she didnt think she could get past Thousand Oaks. We've driven together, I've talked her through it. This has gone on for YEARS with a lot of fear and failure. Not today!

I must admit, I might miss the train trips to Santa Barbara to pick her up. :D

This isn't that funny but a little bit. I have a bird with scaley feet and I was watching this demonstration of where to put the medicine. So this vet is giving a lecture on the treatment and perhaps forgetting he has a BIRD IN HIS HAND he's hand gesturing like a mad Italian. :D They kind of cuddle up and go into zone out mode when you're holding them, but it made me laugh.

So my mom's dog Teddy went to the vet Friday because he's been gaining weight like crazy and itching his butt and just generally not healthy and uncomfortable. The vet is new, our old vet we had problems understanding because he had a very thick Chinese accent and just seemed kind of out of it. The new vet is Chinese too, but he has way better people skills and seems to be listening, etc.. Anyway, so far we love Dr. Kim. So they did some blood tests. Teddy has REALLY high cholesterol. My sister was instructed to drop by the vet, his food needs to be changed immediately.

My dad has a dry erase board in his garage for notes on his hot rod he's building. I noticed it said CG over and over and I asked him what it meant. "Center of Gravity, can't you see the notes are about the modified front axle that's supporting the engine?" Sorry dad, didn't catch that. :p

Last night I got my haircut and my mom and sister tagged along. My mom wears a wig (though she doesn't need to, I guess when you get to 70 styling your hair every morning becomes less of a priority :p) and has the back of her neck shaved so her real hair doesn't poke out under the wig. So she sits down to have that done where I got my haircut and I go sit with my sister. Then she gets up to pay and the hairdresser runs over to us in hysterics "Your mom asked me to give her a Lady Gaga cut! I can't stop laughing!!!!!" I think he was just shocked that an old lady knew who Lady gaga was. Either that or he was vying for a bigger tip but I think it really made him laugh, he was telling the other stylists. It made me smile that my mom made someone's day. :D

I was holding a giant bag of cat treats (open). I got distracted inspecting a skillet that fell off the counter (saw a piece of the handle had broken off).
I forgot I was holding the bag and turned it over while inspecting the skillet, trying to see what part of the handle came off. Cat treats went everywhere.

Technically I think it's an anomaly to show that the photo is "great" somehow. Haha thanks for posting that cause that made me smile today or tonight as it is middle of night here in Sweden. Never heard of that show so must check it out. A few americans taking offense is just natural as they do not like our sort of humour cause swedes love english humour.
