Yes, but it's a one-track promo. I think they'll be worth waiting for.

I do hope it's not a Golden Lights or Sweetie Pie (although, I must say, Sweetie Pie is really growing on me, there's something distant, sea-like about it, like Tim Buckley's Song To The Siren. I'm probably romanticizing it too much). What I mean, is that I hope there's no yawning chasm between the demo and the released.

Honestly I'm getting annoyed as well. I was thinking of finding that site that had All You Need is Me quite a ways before the Greatest Hits release but I havent a clue what the site address is now. So I suppose I just have to sit around and wait for hopefully not too long

This is the song Morrissey is contemplating to include as a b side on AYNIM:
"I Love The Yoshinoya"
You read it here first.
It's about the time he and the band were @ a local Yoshinoya in L.A., and Morrissey bragged about how he enjoyed the beef bowls very much.
Just do me a favor Moz? stay away from the salmon bowls...YUCK!!!

OH and then YES i will have the cd and 2 vinyls but does it ship with a free vinyl player? wait no? no included record player? aw dang, well i guess that means i along with many others will be on this forum asking, begging for ‘My Dearest Love’ and ‘Drive-in Saturday’ (live at the Orpheum Theater, Omaha, Nebraska, 11th May 2007).. so, uh, get the fuck used to it.

while i am buying a record player i could also buy morrissey's personal services to just sing me the songs as well, great plan!! and thanks for the idea, shit i never would have thought of that.. wow, and the advice of buying the digital release that sometimes becomes available but always weeks or months later, yeah hot did i not think of that before.. huh.. now does anyone know about this horseless carriage i keep hearing about? from what i understand it can get me south of the mason-dixon in less than a week!
p.s.

by the way, Not Right in the Head, i didn't mean to exactly attack anyone who does share a digital version of something released on vinyl, i have alwas appriciated those such as you and generally post a thank you or send a personal message of gratitude. i have in all honesty looked into buying a record player with an output but i can't justify what comes out to be a decent sized expenditure in a less than decent sized econo-status.. i love america.

If you can afford the $25 to order the singles in from England, you can afford this.
Or, make a friend who does have a turntable and knows you bought the vinyl. But don't come around bitching, that does no one any good.
Seriously, if you had any real problems you wouldn't be whining about whether you had quick access to the latest Morrissey singles...

woah woah, i was not bitching so much as i was defending those who were being bitched at...
don't be a silly fool and attack me Mr. Math deficient... last time i checked there was a $74 price difference in the little option you gave me.
$74 may not be a lot to you, in which case, congratulations on your richesse, but for me that is gas to get to school and work for 2 days.
but thanks for being a total douchebag, i miss that sometimes.

I think the problem is not lack of a record player, but wanting to hear it on a portable player. I have a record player. I was going to buy one of those turntables that plugs into your computer, but I didn't and can't afford it now. But you can still make mp3's from a regular record, and they will be available shortly after the record is released.

i didn't mean to come off as an ass i just felt like defending people that i thought had asked an innocent and polite question and got torn apart for it. i get why moz does this vinyl bit but it is a pain in the backside nevertheless.. i am also surprised the b-sides haven't surfaced yet.. i am not complaining about it but think it is a curious thing.
anyway, thanks for the tip on the usb turntable.. i may get that at some point.. if i can justify it.. i think morrissey is the only one i would want to rip from vinyl, as for my parents vinyls, i am pretty sure all of that is on cd anyway... so it leaves me with spending more money on morrissey, and he doesn't even get the profits... but it is a cool device, isn't it

Isn't it usual for singles with promos without the Bsides, for the Bsides only to leak when the records arrive at retailers? that's my experience with other bands, so I don't know what all the fuss is about.
Also, it's almost certain that the Bsides will be for sale from digital retailers (including 7digital.com , who take international orders) so there will be no need for USB turntables and the like.

So if the single had been released first here in the US and no one would have uploaded the new song - you Germans would have been ok with that and understood?
Oso Blanco
May 23, 2008, 03:28 PM
I would have loved to hear it just as much as you do, but I would also have understood that we shouldn't undermine Morrissey's efforts.
This is brand new official stuff, it would be just wrong to spread it all over the internet before it even got the chance to hit the charts. It will be officially available soon, and everyone can wait for a few more days ... it's not as if you were going to die tomorrow!

I guess I don't see it affecting sales too much - I mean I already purchased the bundle as I'm sure most people have.
Sometimes it seems like people that have something that nobody else has are just on a power trip. What gives you the right to make the decision to make everyone else wait - you should be happy for the chance to brighten someone else's day
do you understand?

I understand that you're a whiny ass. Did it ever occur to you that it has nothing to do with being on a power trip? Maybe the person is technologically impaired and doesn't know how to upload a song. Maybe they don't want to break the law and/or infringe copyrights by posting the song illegally. Maybe they think that they paid for it, and everybody else should have to pay for it, too. Maybe they think you're impatient and rude, because you never asked for it nicely. Didn't I say as much a week ago? Looks like you haven't learned anything.
Maybe they should put you on ignore like I'm going to do right now.

It didn't sound like a power trip to me. It's rather a well explained ideology.

why do people take simple things so personally?
I mean there is no point to get in an argument when
people can hide behind who they wish they were
online.
MY ONLY POINT WAS - NEW SONGS HAVE BEEN
UPLOADED BY NICE PEOPLE MANY TIMES BEFORE
OVER THE YEARS ON THIS SITE....and I'd be willing to bet my
bottom dollar that you "Not Right In The Head" have
downloaded ALL OF THEM just like everyone else.
So PLEASE don't take on such a defensive stance.
I've supported Morrissey since 1987 - and will continue
to do so.

Do you know Morrissey signed a new recording contract with Polydor/Decca last November?
Yes, in the past many people uploaded new songs, but those were PAST events, luckily both Morrissey and his past record companies did not take legal action against those acts.
We still don't know Polydor/Decca's policy about uploading brand new tracks on file sharing sites.
Oso Branco is absolutely right not uploading Children in Pieces.

It's safe to assume that their policy about uploading is the same as any other record label's--that it's completely illegal. But we don't yet know whether they'll do anything about it. ;)

Do we know that for a fact? Because the B-sides for That's How People Grow Up 7" #1 and #2 are not on iTunes. Neither in the US nor the UK iTunes Store.

Yeah, but what I'm saying is that even though THPGU was released in the UK, if you go to the UK iTunes Store, you can't find the B-sides. You can find the single there, but the only song available is That's How People Grow Up.
Hence, I don't think the MP3 B-sides for AYNIM will be sold as well.
