Very cool. What does "ozalid" mean in that last bit about the 12"?

Nevermind, I looked it up (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozalid_process).

Anyone know if a Test pressing for the 7" "There's a light" french pressing exist (i'm pretty sure it must exist) and if someone see it at least once?

after the HSIN negative sleeve it will be something to place in the top 100 rarities no? (or maybe in 1rst place) ;)

Sorry to state the obvious but...the Top 100 in Record Collector is a list of records not a list of "Rare Stuff Associated With The Smiths".

There is a user on here that has Morrissey's typewriter - I think that must go near the top of collectables...or what about the next time 384 Kings Road, Stretford comes on the market? Must be worth at least £100,000

The draft/ unissued artwork is interesting as it shows the development of ideas (or lack of development and re-hash on old discarded ideas???), but as it becomming apparent there are loads of them knocking about ...and all priced at nearly a grand. Who knows how many were made by Caryn Gough & Jo Slee and then dismissed by Morrissey, only to be "rescued" by staff at Rough Trade.

I've just checked and the French There's a light wasn't done by Caryn http://www.vulgarpicture.com/images/smiths/hi/1987/hi_1987_thereisalight7_fr_2.jpg but someone called "Slim Smith".

Personally I really like the Quad coloured version of Sheila http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/THE-SMITHS-SHEILA-TAKE-A-BOW-QUAD-UNRELEASED-12-COVER_W0QQitemZ330229077765QQihZ014QQcategoryZ7243 9QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l126 2

But that needs to wait for when I have a house big enough for a Smiths Wing.

ok but when people listed reel around the fountain 7" test pressing I just think why not the French there's a light one, I never seen it before. I don't talked about the artwork but the vynil itself

best regards

Hypothetically there was a test pressing produced for every Smiths and Morrissey vinyl release ever made.

Hard vinyl test pressings of the Japanese interview bonus flex, London flexi or Brazillian Still flexis would be interesting. As would a test pressing of the Australian "Morrissey..." 12" promo or any Smiths US vinyl releases, especially the promo-only ones like There Is A Light or Shoplifters.

There would also theoretically be an acetate for every UK release From Hand In Glove up to Boxers, which was the last acetate, to which they switched to CD-Rs due to technological advances at the time.
