My favorite of his films that I have seen is Bully. The one that he just finished sounds possibly good also. Interesting cast, anyway. As far as whatever choices he made in his life, good or bad, no one is perfect. It's sad that a person would die at 25 when they have the potential to do so much more.

My friend just called me to tell me the news as I was reading it. She was probably his biggest fan. Saw everyone of his films a million times since we were little. I think its sad that the cliché of young Hollywood getting consumed and ultimately killed by substance abuse rand true yet again. He really was a fine actor. I just wish he would have lived in order to prove that. This is really sad.

ok so I was going through all my old VHS tapes to find my Brad Renfro movies, and i came across some other tapes that had written on them "The Very Best of Seaquest DSV." HAHA, anyone remember that show? anyway, that actor Jonathan Brandis was on that show, and i had a crush on him in 6th grade. a couple years back, he hung himself. when i saw those tapes I realized that all my childhood crushes are dropping like flies!!!

he was off drugs for a while so he must have chosen to do it. I think it's hard to look at it as an accident. I guess that is a very unpredictable drug though, and even experienced users can miscalculate when it's exceptionally pure. still, when you quit using it for a while, it seems like using it again is a choice?

I don't know a lot about addiction, but I tend not to believe that addicts are powerless in the grip of drugs. We've talked about this before and people have told me I was wrong. I know that the common thought is that once you are an addict you are always an addict whether you are using the drug or not. I prefer to believe that you can overcome addiction. Maybe I am wrong.

well unless he MEANT to die when he shot up (which i doubt he did) of course its an accident. it can be a choice AND an accident. i mean, its always a choice to a degree. if he was off heroin of a while, he mightve not been PHYSICALLY addicted to the drug anymore, but theres often a desire to do it occassionally, even if you dont NEED it to function anymore. he probably got a bad case of the "fuck -its" and decided he could handle doing it "one more time." something probably triggered him. maybe he had a fight with his g/f, maybe he ran into an old drug buddy. whos knows, couldve been anything.

its like if you decided to play that game where you try to run across the street w/out getting hit by a car. you're obviously taking a chance by playing in traffic, but if you get hit, it would still be considered accidental.
