Absolutely! It's one of his best. I always think of it being his defining song, almost like a mandate - the lyrics are incredible. In the 6 times I've seen him he's never done it live. hope it's on the new setlist...

Good luck on your campaign.
I adore this song, hope he sings it in Europe.

Overlooking? Me? Never. It was played on (I think) every show I saw in the final US leg (6) so maybe it will still be on his list for London and vicinity. Hope you all get to hear it too, it was very, very good.

It isn't overlooked here, but is actually one of the best loved Morrissey b-sides, as is shown here: http://forums.morrissey-solo.com/showthread.php?t=78857

Great track. I'd like him ans Steven Street to write again and mix some of his "Street" songs in with Boz and Alains songs. Just a thought......

I love this song, especially the studio version, its superb and the lyrics ring so true,

The Live version is great too and one can certainly tell Moz was at his happiest singing it, :guitar:

This song is very Smithsy

I agree! And it's among his very best lyrics ever.
I can't get enough of this song. When he played it on this tour I was all http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c339/chris2038win/Smilies/dance.gif

Has it occurred to anyone that this is a troll?

And if it's not a troll, seriously, dude, WTF?

The only thing that would make me think it's a troll is that the syntax of the username matches the guy who was posting links to a poll about the Iran issue... which, when you went to the page with the poll, appeared to have been posted or sponsored by the NME. So... that could be nothing, or it could be an attempt to provoke "fans" into making statements. You never know.

And yet you & 16 others made statements about it anyway?

Provoke comments about Sister I'm a Poet? Um.. If it is a troll, he/she is not a very good one...

They usually aren't. There are some are wordier than others, though, so they're a bit more convincing.

Still, you'd expect a troll to choose a more controversial topic than a song that is generally well recieved...

edit: NRitH well, aren't you being clever today...

I think it's just a miracle, a horror-miracle, that it wasn't a single! An A-side single. It wasn't even first B-side!
It is my favourite Morrissey song (I think it's the one that sounds most like Smiths)

Well, you'd expect trolls to be a lot of things that they aren't. Like creative.

I think that Kill Uncle has some of the greatest LIVE songs Moz will ever play. The album is pretty boring to me, but when you see Mute Witness played live it is off the charts! Hard to believe it's the same song! Sing Your Life is great on the album...even better live!
