What the hell?!
From yahoo news:
LOS ANGELES - Police were called to Britney Spears' home Thursday night in a custodial dispute that lasted nearly three hours before an intoxicated Spears reportedly turned over her children to ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Officers were called to the home around 8 p.m., and the 26-year-old singer turned over the children around 10:50 p.m., Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman, told City News Service.
Aerial footage from KTLA-TV showed Spears being lifted in a gurney into an ambulance. It was unclear where she was being taken.
Lee said Spears was under the influence of an unknown substance, and no injuries were reported.
The incident involved a family dispute that police worked to resolve "peacefully by court order," he said.
An Associated Press photographer outside the gated community that includes Spears' house saw six police cars, an ambulance and a fire truck enter around 10:30 p.m. A dispatcher with the fire department referred calls to the police department.
Spears and Federline are fighting over custody of their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James.
Federline, 29, has temporary custody of the children because Spears, who has limited visitation rights, has defied court orders. The two were married in October 2004 and divorced in July.
Calls to attorneys for Federline and Spears were not immediately returned.
Earlier Thursday, the singer appeared for a deposition in the custody dispute.
She was deposed for just 14 minutes, attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told reporters after she left.
Spears called in sick for a Dec. 12 court-ordered deposition, but was photographed that day driving with a friend. She also didn't show up for a session Wednesday, Kaplan said.
Spears' attorneys from the firm Trope and Trope on Wednesday filed a court motion asking to be relieved due to a "breakdown" in communication with their client.
Kaplan said Spears' attorneys were present for what became a very abbreviated session.
"The deposition proceeding did go forward today. It was scheduled for 9:45 to 11:45," Kaplan said. "However, it wasn't able to commence until 11:32."
"You can imagine in 14 minutes there's not a lot of time to develop questions," he said.
Kaplan said another deposition would be scheduled.

From TMZ.com
OMG THE DRAMA!
TMZ is there as Britney Spears was just wheeled out of her home on a gurney by paramedics. Look at that shot of her inside the ambulance -- she's frickin' smiling! Why God, why?!?
Once in the ambulance, paramedics can be seen trying to strap her legs down before taking off.
We're told Britney is being taken to a local hospital on a "medical hold" -- essentially a mental evaluation. Cops found her earlier this evening at her home under the influence of an "unknown substance."
Cops were called to the popnightmare's home in Beverly Hills this evening, after she reportedly refused to return custody of her two kids to their father's bodyguard. Oh, the insanity of it all!
UPDATE: Britney has arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We're told as she was brought out of the ambulance, she flipped off the waiting paparazzi. Oh my God. That Britney's shameless!

The coverage of this is disgusting. I've never seen the media root so nakedly for someone's death.
I actually feel bad for the crazy lil' pop tart.

In all seriousness. Leave the goddamn cracker to have her messy divorce and get a stupid haircut and gain weight and lose her kids at the running of the bulls and everything else that every third slut on earth does daily.

Dr. Phil wants to help Britney find the Rx to get her life back on track. He plans to discuss it this week on his daytime talk show. Dr. Phil met with them at a family members’ invitation. “My meeting with Britney and some family members at Cedars leaves me convinced that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention”. (ya think?!)
p.s. I love Dr. Phil. Really, I dooz.

Every third slut? Are you sure? You don't like women much, do you?
That poor kid. Since her life started falling apart, I've been wishing someone would take her aside and convince her to sell everything in LA, and go home with her kids to Louisiana (is that right?) and buy a regular home and meet a regular guy and be a regular person. There is something to be said for being ordinary.
But, of course, no one in her life is going to tell her that as long as there is a chance they can make some more money off of her first. "There's a free ride on soft-touch Britney..." Her parents should be ashamed of themselves... and now look at her sister. Same thing.

Her parents have fucked the poor woman up.How dare they go on TV to earn a few bucks out of her misery. She`s clearly mentally unstable but she gave birth to those kids and should not be denied access. She`ll end up topping herself if she carries on like this.

Well, I disagree. If she's constantly on drugs or alcohol, her children are better off not being with her. She can cuddle them when she's sober.
I'm not blaming her at all... it's not her fault they raised her like a trained monkey. But she is going to have to grow up and realize that you can't break every rule and get away with it forever. Talentless celebs are a dime a dozen, she is utterly replaceable, and that's why I think she should just bow out of the spotlight and take whatever's left of what she's earned and live an ordinary life. Start a dance studio for little girls or something.
The paparazzi would be all over her at first, but would soon move on. Guaranteed.
