Can someone explain to me how someone who is meant to be moderating these boards is permitted to post messages that slag off other members? This isn't the first time this has occurred.
So please can someone explain?

Moderators are also forum members and can post and have opinions just like other forum members.
If you have a problem with specific moderation actions you can report that here.

Yeah, unfortunately, Moderators are entitled to be as rude and unpleasent as the rest of us!

I don't think the moderator in question, wasn't being intuitionally mean. They are i would say, over zealous and some of their post are "lost in translation".
But, they do spend a fair amount of time here and sometimes feel the need to speak for other people/users in conversations in the threads, which can be very annoying.

Maybe, maybe not. Surely though such conversation could be left to private messaging. And I ahve had it on good authority in the past (straight from the horse's mouth) actually that said moderator does have somewhat of a vitriolic nature, at times. Usually on a monthly basis.....
the ironic thing is I only found the post in question as I was "doing a Kewpie" myself!!
Oh well such is life theres bigger things to worry about such as do I really want to take a girl to a Morrissey gig??? And all the consequences of that? I'll be there three weeks later trying to defend myself. Sweating in january is a sure sign that one will be ill too. Get those flu jabs at the ready

It is of course a metaphorical can of worms. The can of worms that the term comes from was a small metal container, with a handle and a lid, used to store worms for fishing. Being live bait, they'd crawl out and be difficult to put back. A fisherman's friend (Not the one you sook on Jukebox) who may open such a can containing this wriggling mass of worms, would see it as something that was best left unopened.
Now, before this thread becomes a hornet's nest vivabob. My French wife would like to know which supermarket chain sell said cans?:)
