Geez, I think you're opening up a big can o' worms here :)
It depends on what you mean by 'best,' but I don't think any group of people--regardless of nationality, sex, ethnicity, etc-- can be put over any other group when it comes to Moz fandom.

Thes qustion always end up in a chain saw masacre

let's say, Morrissey likes to release his singles in the Uk and europe, there
must be a reason for this.

indeed, the population of the USU so big compared to the above, and the
sales very poor compared to the population

so I say Morrissey himself answered this question himself

yes I'm aware of the % of scoring a hit wherever.

but his albumsales in the USA are very poor compared to the UK, taking the above
written in mind

Very interestering debate.
In terms of wild crazy fan scenes at Moz concerts - The Brits are the best hands down! Jumping around, surging crowds, excellent ! THe americans just seem to stand there really.. and dont really do much!
Think I speak with a certain amount of experience after watching Morrissey 50+ times in the UK and twice in the US last month! The American fans were amazing, dont get me wrong, very determined to get to the concerts. Some drove hundreds and hundreds of miles for shows! (In the UK u dont really get this). The US fans I met at Waukegan / royal Oak were tremendously loyal to Moz.
The shows did get crazie at teh encores with peiople clambering for the stage so this was good. but on the whole not too many people jumping around dancing....I spoke to a coiuple of US fans after the Royal Oak show, they had experienced a few Moz dates in the UK and said they were "totally wild"!

We all adore Moz and thats all that matters. it does not matter where you are from or what colour or stuff.

I personally have a problem with Moz fans (especially those who claim to be massive fans) who are meat eaters, and no im not saying you should be veggie because he is, it just bugs me that if you are THAT into him then how can you not realise that his views on the subject are the right view.

hmm well I certainly do not think you have to agree with every strong view he has. I think there are veggie Moz fans that think they are better than meat eating fans, cause you can not possibly really love Morrissey and eat meat.
I don't subscribe to that view, but then I do eat meat..

I love threads with Wonder Woman in them. Did you know that Wonder Woman is an Amazon princess? According to Curtius, Alexander the Great met the real tribe of Amazons during his campaigns in Asia minor around 330 B.C. Mercifully, the creators of Wonder Woman left out the historically accurate detail about their breasts, for Amazon women were disfigured. One breast was left intact to nurse their babies, while the other was lopped off and the wound cauterized, the flatter surface being better to support weapons like longbows. As such, I would not like to think of an historically accurate portrayal of the character by Lynda Carter. What a waste that would've been! On the other hand, it might have been nice for a dramatization of Curtius' anecdote about Thalestris, the Amazonian queen. The fearsome she-wolf took an instant liking to Alexander, and the great Macedonian, probably randy himself after so many long marches and bored by an endless series of concubines and Persian boys-- and no enemy of booze-- dutifully obliged her by spending a whopping thirteen days slaking her passion in his royal tent. Now that is a role I would have paid to see Carter play. Not now, though. She's 56.

What was the question?

What was the question?

Hah. And for the curious, Amazon literally means "breastless" in Greek (a- = "without", mazon ~= mastos = "breast" [cf. mastodon (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mastodon) ("breast-tooth"), mastectomy). Think about that next time you order books online. Thus concludes today's lesson.

If Amazon.com went boobless, so to speak, they'd lose three quarters of their sales. That said, if they went boobless and lost all those customers, "The Jam: Our Story" by Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler would instantly jump 4,219,400 places in the sales rankings. That would make the day a little sunnier.

That would be a colostral mistake on their part--their sales would be flat, and they'd have to milk their customer base for more revenue.

God, not this again.

Certainly their stock would suffer massive cleavage, but in compensation they can nurse from the teats of Christian publishers. They're not exactly mosquito bites in the industry, you know, even though you and I might feel that plunging one's nose between the Left Behind and Soul Harvest series is comparable to being tortured on the rack. The idea could be a bust, but I think the melonheads at Amazon could lick it.

Good point. I'm sure that the planes are on the pottery of the time, but they're hard to see! If you look closely enough at this one from 350 BCE, I'm sure you'll see the plane in the background.

You know what would suck for those Amazons? Randomly bumping into an invisible plane out in a meadow somewhere-- and not knowing how to fly the damn thing. "By the beard of Zeus, your majesty, we found an invisible flying contraption! There's just one catch..."

Also, it's not such a crazy idea. After all, the Greeks invented planes.

You see, I never understood the purpose of an invisible airplane if the occupant(s) themselves are not invisible as well. Imagine all these hot-looking Amazons jetting around past you at great speed, which is I guess is enough to scare the bejeebers of of any wrongdoer.

Those Wonder Woman pics have given me a great idea for an outfit to wear at the next Morrissey show.

Because I believe that you can be a big fan of his musical and lyrical ability, see them as superior to most out there and still disagree with the some of comments and opinions that come out of his mouth.

True fans are not aimless followers and zombies but can discern between the music and the artist's opinions.

On that note I am going to fix myself a late night turkey sandwich.

True fans BUY the music. I dont care if you have one song from iTunes, every CD/LP/cassette ever made, or attend every concert he puts on...if you listen to and love the music (and dont steal it), and love the man, you are a true fan.

Anyone who thinks there is more to being a "fan" (a word Moz has said is an insult to the people who enjoy his music), is a priggish, snot-nosed snob!

being a social outcast and never have any luck in love. and i mean never make you surely understanding his lyrics about being lonely and NEVER finding love better
and i dont mean that short period being single complaining you never find
anyone
no when you are not able having a relationship ever in your life
or anything which come close tho such a thing
etc you will surely understand the lyrics concerning loneliness
and never finding love better than someone who complain about being lonely but this being only a short time /after it ended badly/between relationships IN HIS /her life
but does that makes you a
better fan then...?

KILT!

Off subject -and why not- I thought of 'you' this afternoon as we walked down Michigan Avenue behind a man in a kilt!! It was brown tartan and he had on a brown sweater with brown boots -sporting a short mohawk. He looked good if you ask me :p but my kids were like...

p.s. we're still 'waiting'

You lucky peeps have just had Tartan Week in America. Where Scotsmen hung like hamsters walk around with ill-kept pubic hair and try to get people to come to Scotland.

I will keep the picture dry for the moment. I don't want all the Morrissey Solo women leaving their husbands and deserting their families and physically swimming the Atlantic Ocean just to get their hands on me and do all kinds of depraved acts on me.

I have a duty to protect the innocent, you know..:)

How are you anyways?

depraved :p

(funny post, as usual Kilt - and I'm not talking about your 'post' ;))

It took me a while to get the 'post' thing which is either good news for me or bad news for you..:) Though you did say you felt depraved, which is always nice to hear..:)

I could really do with some serious depravity. It's been a while...:tears:

Maybe it's time to break out the kilt? :D

The best fans are those who stay true to their word when they say they're going to show us 'something' ;)

I want to wear a shirt to the next Morrissey concert that says BEST FAN with a picture of one oscillating :p

Maybe the kilt is the problem. If you don't have any undies on then there's nowhere to contain any testicle enhancilation. NOT a word but it should be...:) It doesn't help being so titchy...:) Suddenly there a gust of wind and the kilt goes north and women say, "Look at that freak bitch with the stretched clitoris"......:)

It's really embarrassing, especially if you're out with elderly relatives..:)

Oh, and a Best Fan t-shirt sounds like a great idea..:)

The ones who have a history of listening to and buying his music.
The ones who identify wiht his lyrics and philosophy.
The ones who don't care about assexuality or androgeny.
The ones who are always there on his side no matter what he does.
The one and you know who you are, who will still
love him even when he's not a star........:D

We all adore Moz and thats all that matters. it does not matter where you are from or what colour or stuff.

I personally have a problem with Moz fans (especially those who claim to be massive fans) who are meat eaters, and no im not saying you should be veggie because he is, it just bugs me that if you are THAT into him then how can you not realise that his views on the subject are the right view.

all meat eaters are bad people

i love japanse fans - they are hand held and come in pretty colours

But seriuosly now - to answer the question: - I'm the best fan
