Yeah, I was paid very well, had flexible hours, and the weekends off. But I worked with some mean ass women! They were jealous, rude, catty, and backstabbing. It was like Leona Helmsley split into four women with Southern accents. My boss was really, really, really nice though.
Oh well, life goes on. I'm sure I'll get another job, but until then...
This is a celebration, bitches!

If I had to do it all over again... through college... bartending or food services. You can make mad bank. My friend funneled his tips into a mercedes that he bought in cash.

I thought you were going to regret not taking that offer to work at Chippendales...
or the offer to not scalp tickets to Yankee games...
I'm not happy when the Yankees are doing well.....
I'm just glad that punk I went to High School with is not playing tonight...

I have a very good story about Giambi that I personally know of that I wish I could share on the forum. I even saw the pictures. Your classmate loves a party.

He was a senior when I was a freshman...so I really didn't see much of him...but his IDIOT brother....yeah I saw a lot of him....He tried to intimidate me into doing his homework...and I just laughed at him....
Yes, Jeremy Giambi....who was traded from The Oakland A's because he got caught with Marijuana on the team flight...
Jeremy Giambi who called a press conference the day after his brother declinded to admit that he used steroids, to admit that HE Had (like anybody cared, he was at the White Sox camp as a NON-ROSTER invitee)..and then said he was Taking time off from Baseball to get things straightened out...
Good Riddance...he never had any talent...
By all means, I'd love to hear it about Steroid Boy...
I do think he should be cut some slack, because unlike some other "MVP"s, he has the balls to admit he screwed up

Pretty Girls will get more cash doing something else....
But they really shouldn't....
Not if their daddy did his job

Yeah, but I'm a pretty girl with standards. ;)
And I haven't got a daddy, and when I did he didn't do his job. So...

I have made it clear that if anyone dared employ my daughter (at age 18) in the capacity, I would literallly strangle them to the point of asphyxiation

Couldn't agree more. Pizza delivers make all but the highest-end waiter, but female pizza delivers have to be tough and/or armed (you are in Texas, after all.)
Two of my high school classmates tended bar, and made so much that they seriously considered not graduating from college and simply becoming professional bartenders. One of them is now a city councilman and high-powered lawyer, and as strange as it is to say it, I don't think that he would have been either of those things without the social networking experience that he got from bartending.

No not like a strip club or anything. I know of a teacher that works in some trendy club in Manhattan. She does not get "slutted" up and does quite well.
I don't get the daddy comment though...

Chris Rock said plain and simple..."If your daughter is a stripper...then you failed as a father"....I take his words to heart

Oh, I thought SNS was referring to strippers.
He said something about daddies, and I just mentioned I didn't have one. No biggie.

For the record, it's been about 10 years since I've even seen the inside of one of those places...and I think I only went 2 or 3 times...they just did nothing for me....

Didn't see the point myself. One of my friends is a tad bit addicted. It a fake atmosphere. However one of the few times I have been I had a blast. I was part of a wedding party and the bridesmaids and the ushers all went as one co-ed bachelor party. That was fun for the shits and giggles aspect.

Once I was at El Torito and they had a male stripper come to entertain guests in one room...only problem...the room wasn't exactly view-proof...I don't think they let him go all the way as it was a family restraunt..but I still can't help but file that under "What were they thinking?"
I'm hoping they abolish that kind of stuff by the time my daughter is 18.....
the more you explore me!

Will you get unemployment? I think they don't let you apply for 4 or 5 weeks, but they might find you another job. It is nice not to work, but that spending money comes in handy.

I feel very, very sorry for you.
It's a terrible shame.
How could they do this to such a sweet young child?
I'm outraged.

When I landed my teaching job I had every intent on keeping my department store job since the two jobs were nowhere near each other. (No chance of running into students). Anyway I switched to "weekends only" as availability. They keep scheduling me for weekdays... eventually I got tired of calling in the "day of" to remind them that I was not coming in and why. I stopped showing up. About eight months later I received a letter in the mail telling me that my services were terminated. I laughed. It took them eight months to fire me considering that I had shown my face there for eight months. Had they not understood that I had basically quit? lol
