after the show and saturday night?
Anyone from there?
Whats there to do besides gambling with old folks?

There is nothing to do in Vegas. It's the most boring city in the world.

Ok, no. When we were there for the Moz show in June, we spent our other full night there walking the strip- drinks in hand. When we emptied one, we walked into the nearest bar/casino/whatever, bought another, and walked on. Just brilliant. And I have never seen so many happy, mildly drunk people in my life. I didn't see a single act of aggression or meanness or anything- just lots and lots of happy drunks.

There is an open air bar on a terrace in front of Caesar's Palace where we sat for a while. They have cooling mist coming from the tents above- quite nice. Good margaritas.

Also, there is a hysterically funny animatronic moving statue show in the mall at Caesar's too. It runs hourly- it's so godawful we loved it.

And there are $5 roulette tables at Treasure Island. That was fun too.

Vegas is the worst city in America, if not the world. I was there on a business trip, and I was actually looking forward to the experience. But I'm only an occasional drinker, have zero interest in gambling, and don't have any money for, I mean, interest in hookers or elaborate shows; in other words, I wasn't taking advantage of the things that Vegas does best. But I've never seen such an artificial, empty place.

Drive to the Grand Canyon as soon as the show is over. I didn't make it there on my trip, but I sure wish that I had.

Don't hold anything back..tell us all how you really feel? Vegas is a good bag of fun, seeing drunks throw their wompom away on slot machines is a hoot. Lots of great food, great women, great entertainment in Vegas. You can people watch, go to a record store, go to Mt Charleston, etc. If you want to have fun, you can find it...if you dont(like this poor sap), you won't.

I suggest after the show: You come and find one of my ho's on LVBLVD, rent one, and have some fun.

Go to some shitty casino club, and listen to them forcefeed techno/trance/house music/shit hop down your throat to the point of wanting to off yourself(which for you, might actually be a good thing).

Hang out @ the Palms and look for all the hot bitches wearing thongs, then try to introduce yourself to them(I know that'll be hard for you, but try anyways). Who knows, you may get lucky?

play a little blackjack cos its absolutely thrilling.

but dont play if youre a bit bad at math or if you are taking ritalin for add or if you are an alcoholic. so if youre a dipshit stay away from the tables and go to that bizarre mall.

if its your first time in Vegas, there is plenty to amuse yourself with just by walking around, as PFTLT said. I second her plan as being a good one.

Be sure to have a ride on the roller coaster that is on the top of the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino

The Cirque du Soleil show "KA" is truly the most amazing live performance of any type I've ever seen. The best tickets are $150 each (i.e. not cheap), and yet I don't regret the expense for a moment. The other shows, "O", "Mystere", "Zumanity" have their good point, but none compares to KA. Check it out if you can.

wow, most people prefer Mystere and O, I have yet to see the rest so I will hold judgement.

next time I go I plan on finishing up and watching the rest, especially Love.!

Not right: I can't agree with u more. I only go to Vegas 4 concerts then I can't wait to get out.

I've lived in vegas off and on for 11 years. There is so much to do here that has NOTHING to do with the strip or downtown. Buy a good las vegas travel book and go from there.

Soo, since this thread is about Vegas, although this may not be relevent to the immediate topic, it's about Vegas! So I was watching tv, a rarity really, but they just mentioned events happening in Las Veags this weekend, and they mentioned MORRISSEY playing on SATURDAY! And I flipped and got really excited and had to share this happiness that overcame me..:D So...that's all! :p

That's actually not good... the show is on Friday!

Well, uh, if you're not into casinos and whatnot we have a Museum devoted to Atomic Testing!

The Freemont Experience is usually nice, runs all night every hour or so.
The moving statue thing is AWESOME too.

But seriously, the best thing here is to come to my house and see my pet crab. -_-
I don't know much here, really, even though I've lived here forever. Sad eh?

We have nice mountains though, Mt. Charelston is fab this time of year. ^^;
