Turning off signatures?

Is there any way to hide or disable signatures? There are far too many signatures on this forum that are colossal wastes of screen real estate, and I'm tired of looking at them. Yes, I've added many of them to my Adblock list, but that's not enough--I want a very compact way of reading threads.

Go to user CP and edit options. Towards the bottom should be an option to "view signatures." Uncheck this box and the sigs should go away. :)
