help finding original dj

first post ,nice to meet you all.
So i am a member of amateur sports team and we have a shit dinner dance every year,and its get worser and worserer,you know the crack the locomotion,dancing queen,and if your lucky the scizzors sisters and if your really really lucky the alternative set is 'hang the dj' come on everyone has been to at least 50.
i want do a 'manchester night' but apart from downloading and doing it myself cant find anyone with the gear or the inclination to make a few bob on a friday night in may.
so any suggestions or help or better still contacts,will v much appreciated.and dont take the piss!! av a great w/end.
soz it will be in the m/c area.
and if anybody hasnt done it yet ,they want to start ,,,,,cos its the future.
