Hi.
For anyone who has this song, does it begin with a couple of seconds of odd noises and end with a somewhat abrupt fade-out? i know its an odd question but the one I have does and I'm wondering if this is normal or if I have a bad copy?

I didn't notice any noise in the beginning. I doesn't fade out, either. But it ends abrubtly, that's right. Does anybody know what happened to this song?

that's how it's supposed to end.

I think they didn't have enough time to finish it.

I always thought the last line of the song was

NOT!

which was a catch phrase back then...

Your copy is right. There are some posts in the archive about the ending, that it's the same for all formats. Some of the people here have astonishing knowledge about all things Morrissey, and I'm sure will be able to tell us exactly why it ends like that.

My guess is Morrissey wanted it to end that way

All songs don't have to fade out or have a timed ending...

Thanks for the information. I must have the bootleg version because it fades out at the end. I'd rather have the official version. Does anybody know what single it was on?

Morrissey thought the song dragged on too long and they didn't know how to end it, so they just cut it off like that.
