Hi there! I'm a new forum member, in my fifties and a Morrissey/Smiths devotee since the early 80's. My question: is there a recording of the Cheltenham show from 2006 in existence? If so, can someone direct me to the download? I queued outside the Town Hall at 5 in the morning the day tickets went on sale to ensure my place at the biggest gig my hometown has ever staged! Since seen the great man at Birmingham NIA and 23rd Dec at the G-Mex. PS Does anyone else think it's criminal that 'Ganglord' should be tucked away on a 'B'' side? Surely one of Mozza's best efforts? Greetings from Cheltenham, Ouijabored.

Hello there and welcome!

I have not seen a bootleg of the Cheltenham gig yet, although, the Birmingham and G-Mex 23rd gigs are on this site of course.

Ganglord is indeed the best b-side of the Ringleader singles but compared to something like The Never Played Symphonies, for me it just doesnt compare!

Welcome ouijaboard!

I share your passion for the Cheltenham gig. I graduated on that stage years ago. At last I can say that I shared the stage with Morrissey! :-) lol

I queued up from about 6pm and got to the front easily. Thought the sound wasn't that great, but the crowd seemed fairly energetic from what I could hear behind me.

I also went to the NIA and GMEX gigs. Small world eh ? lol

Ganglord IMHO is one of the best b-sides ever, and for me ranks up alongside classic Moz songs like Jack The Ripper. I`m glad it was a b-side... it keeps up the tradition of tucking away little gems (well, maybe sweetie pie is the exception here!!).

Anyway, welcome to the forums :)

Hey welcome.

Cheltenham was a great gig, but like the others I've not seen anything (bootleg) from there.

I've got some clips that I tooK that night collated in to a movie file if you want them and a few photos if that helps.
