I assert that she was the most charismatic member of this forum, ever.
YOU would think that, wouldn't you.
It's unfortunate SHE had to stuff the ballots in the Rant of the Year Poll.

Whatever it was that stopped that incorrigible Mr. Proper from assuring us that he was the PIMPest inhabitant of his own imagination and hawking ersatz asian cuisine in the process. Was that perhaps switching to the new format?

The defining, and most interesting incident on this forum on 2006 was the rise and rise of joroberts17. I assert that she was the most charismatic member of this forum, ever.

no it isn't but she was often unkind to people here who had different views to hers.
i had often showed support to her on some of my posts.
but as she would say.... my whole life has been ruined by people who are nice!
it was just a silly joke...

Are you saying you were joking when you called her 'headcase'? Because if you were, it sounded quite rude nevertheless, so you might want to apologize before you hurt anyone's feelings. Just a suggestion.

If you feel it wasn't the right thing to say, you should apologize nevertheless. It has little to do with other people, we should do right things because they are right. Not because someone might or might not see that we are doing them.

Well, there were thousands of people posting there every day it seems. But maybe all the same person. ;)
I miss Irene. I really don't care about her political theories, she was fun to "chat" with on the old board. She added a little mayhem and I think that's healthy. I enjoyed her posts and trying to figure out what she was saying, because I think she almost always had a point, but wrote it in such a way that you sometimes had to puzzle it out. Anyway, I liked her.

She was neither a headcase, nor unkind. She was a refreshingly honest individual who had a habit of unintentionally annoying people with her strong opinions. Last time I checked, it was still legal to be opinionated.

...yes she did come across as intelligent, articulate ( and i told her so) and well opinionated but it was very aggressive to any one you didn't aggree with her, and many of her complaints did stem from an opinion that the world owed her something, like a job she liked!
who said it was illegal?

Everyone is entitled to a job they like. Most people settle for crud. Her tenacity is admirable.

The more I read the more I'm certain JoRo and TCOTC are the same person - in other words TMYEM, appologize so that we could move on :p
As for the thread - there were many interesting things happening but I loved that i'm-right-NO-i'm-right discussion between Worm and nightandday (forgot where though)

Yep, I really enjoyed the debate between Worm and nightandday on my Do You Agree With the Following Statement? thread.
It's the most articulate and intellegent discussion took place in this site.

I read some things that suprised me here about people defending meat eaters. Weird for a morrissey site to have so many blood munchers.

Actually, I think it is nice that people are not always judged for the choices they make. I was a vegetarian. Now I am not. I feel no guilt, and it is nice to know that people respect my choice to eat meat, even if they do not always agree.

December 28, 2006, 10:52 AM
Well, I certainly feel guilty when I used to eat meat as a child looking back on it now. All those billions of animals killed each year when there is no point whatsoever to it.

Nope. Sorry, but that is my opinion. You are of course, entitled to yours, but I like meat, and that's my choice. :)

I'm with Morrissey on this one, to quote him " Eating meat is the most disgusting thing I can think of. It’s like biting into your grandmother."
Dosen't mean I have to respect your choice does it?

December 28, 2006, 11:36 AM
No. But wouldn't life be dull if we all did and thought the same thing? I am happy with my choice. That is what matters to me. It would be nice if other people could be open minded enough to feel that they could show me the same respect, as many people on here have done, but if you feel that you are unable to do so, that is also your choice that I respect. This has very little to do with the subject matter of the thread, so if you wish to continue with this discussion, which I am more than happy to do, it might be respectful to the person who started the topic to the 'Post Whatever You Are Thinking'thread as that is what it was created for.
Oh my god, it's Robby!
December 28, 2006, 04:03 PM
ok, so, this is an offline incident that only has meaning to me:
but like 3 weeks ago, i had this girl over once, who i had done it with once with at my old place, and i decided once i got a ride from her home from the club
that once was enough
so, i went online, and stopped really paying attention to her
then she asked me
'Whatcha readin?'
so i just started reading out loud to her 'OT' topic names
and that seemed more than enough to get her to leave
:D
