How is Jesus not a Christmas single?

It's a very tongue in cheek Christmas single, but that doesn't mean it isn't one.

Depends on what you think a christmas single should be.
It could be a christmas single because it was released close to christmas.
Or it could be a christmas single because it contains lyrics about snow or santa, etc.
I would say that Morrissey has released a christmas single (I Have Forgiven Jebus :D )

Morrissey stated that Jesus was his Christmas single at Earl's Court. I think he was taking the piss though because he also said it was his charity single (it was around the time of Do They Know it's Christmas part 17), with the charity being him.

Certain people I know was released close to xmas and with it being a summery song (video was set on the beach as well) I think that might have been a bit of a pisstake...
