How tall is Moz?

Im sure this will have been discussed before but..oh well. I was just curious, really, to know.

I know Johnny Rogan blathers on about Moz being tall at school and how it saved his ass from too much bullying and all that jazz, but when i saw him live he looked like a bit of a short arse to me. I guess it's hard to tell from the audience.

Anyone know?

I'd say 5'10-11. He stands up straight in photographs which makes him look taller, most people bend their legs slightly (like the above example, which claimed he was 6 foot).

Morrissey is definitely not short, but he didn't look that incredibly tall either when I saw him live... probably around 180 cm (5'11"/6"). Yep, he described himself as 'virtually 6" ' in the Meat Is Murder questionnaire. I expected him to be taller because he always looked tall in photos, but that might be because of other people in the photos being small. He looked taller in Smiths photos because he was standing next to Johnny and Andy, who are both short.

I don't doubt that he was considered very tall in school - you have to take into account earlier generations are by rule shorter, and 6" was considered really tall a few decades ago - besides, not everyone develops at the same rate, and he seems to have been one of those boys who grow up faster than others (look at the picture of him at 13 - many boys don't even enter the puberty until 14), so the difference between him and the others might have been bigger at that age.
