Our neighborhood, due to its placement and home price, leans heavily toward the retiree set. Consequently, the ice cream trucks do not enter unto our hallowed, aged, blacktopped, private streets. And therefore, my two poor kidlets do not not connect the sound of an ice cream truck with the presence of frozen dairy confections. The other day, I was supervising the sprogs as they played outside, and my older one came to me, saying unto me: "Mom. I know you're going to tell me that this is all in my head, but I keep hearing this crazy flute music." Poor, poor child. I didn't tell him where that "flute music" was coming from. Hehehe. Someday, he will find out. And he will come to me again, saying, "Mom. Why didn't you tell me that that music meant I could get ice cream?" I am a mean, mean mom.

Amazingly, I've never posted here. I almost did 2 weeks ago about suffering from 20 mosquito bites -all on my calfs- and having weird pains and ailments (see: West Nile). Seriously. I got them at a swanky outside eatery too, so they are very expensive bites as well  Skeeters LOVE me!!
--So--
I just watched the always entertaining news and the always entertaining weather. Has anyone else noticed that Mother Nature is going ape shit on the US right now?! Heat, floods, quakes, disasters, etc. Mozcago is getting more rain overnight. Of course I have 2 new dormers (only framed out) in my attic -the holes to the sky!-only covered by tarps.
Oh, SUNny...we're really missing you!! Ma Nature is pissed about this global warming shit! Stay dry and cool y'all

Yes thank you. I looked him up and he turnes out to be more evil than the average.
I wonder if they have a movie "based on" Fred West yet? It seems like the kind of thing that would do well renting at Hollywood Video. The walls are lined with movies like that.

I think it will be the swing park and a walk for us, maybe swimming. I need a new costume though.

Hi Karin
There is no chance now, the doctors spoke to us this morning, stopped all her medication bar a hydration drip and such, trying to make her comfortable. I envy people like my Uncle; whose faith is really strong, so strong that death doesn't really upset them in the way it does me or my Mum, because they just celebrate that the person has gone to God and isn't suffering anymore. I wish I could feel that way about things. I spent a few hours with my Mum earlier and she just said that you have to live life to the full because you never know what is around the corner, and then when your time comes you will be content to go, knowing you've had a good life and believing in something afterward. It's good advice for anyone I think. it's nice to be able to talk to God a lot when you need reassurance.

haha actually no. i used to be really self conscious about my paleness. when I was 15 or so I got some of that crap spray on tan stuff. and i was orange all summer, and at the time I thought I looked nice and tan. but looking back I was orange and I smelled funny. (not cuz i didnt shower but cuz the spray on stuff had a weird odor.) I'm totally cool with being fair skinned now. I am one with my paleness. and when I go to the goth club I fit right in, all the naturally tan goths are jealous ;)

The one had the other one's tail up and was picking at it (cleaning it) THEN that same monkey ('the cleaner') goes down on the other monkey... picture this: the 'receiving' monkey sitting on the limb, knees spread apart- while the 'giver' monkey was doing SOMETHING in there between the receiver's legs -for awhile (yeah, I watched :D ha) Everyone around was like  wtf!! I don't think I've ever seen a monkey blow job. No, I know I haven't. Thankfully my kids were looking at the exhibit next to that, so I dodged that bullet.

they are gorgeous, very sweet. I went for shoes for Dylan going back to school and spent a silly amount of time looking at the baby shoes, they are so tiny.

i know. Even though I have no desire to have a child, I just can't believe anything could have feet so tiny. Hoping to be made godmother again, can you tell? :D

I'm alright thank you.
I'm not a fan of Tony Wilson, but of course appreceate his contributions to British music.
When 24 Hour Party People was released, my ex-collegue told me that coinsidentally Mark E Smith was staying their flat.
I was the only one who knew he's within a half mile from the cinema, that was surreal. :p
