Is it possible to embed youtube videos directly into one's post? Pasting the html from the site, of course, does not work, and I am not savvy enough to figure out how the code is to be modified.

Good question. Embedding objects is not built-in to the forum software due to security issues, but searching on their support site, I found the suggested way to embed YouTube videos and have added it to the bbcode options.
Embed YouTube video in post
Usage: value
Example: onEFbTS002U
for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onEFbTS002U (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRJP6_cg4kg)
Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for doing this, David.
(I'm so glad they're not the 'autoplaying' ones!)

[*youtube*]*the embed link from your video (right of video)*[*/youtube*]
ok, you remove all the * and the underlined bit...and stick in your embed url...
(it should work)
