Dear Fellow suffers
I was at the Vanser Karioki on Thursday, and onec again tried a rendition of "Here in my heart" by Al Martino. First UK No1 November 13th 1952. My Accapella version is spot on, as I choose my own pitch. But on the Karioki I carn't get to the high notes very well. I am thinking of giving up this song through voice strain.
However, songs like "Mac The Knife" by Bobby Darrin and most Dean Martin, are managed with very well. Iim in the process of learning Mac the Knife at the moment. I get a good round of applause for these efforts. Also a favourite of mine is "That's Life" (Sinatra)
"If I said you had a beautiful body..." Bellemy Brothers, and "Love Letters" by Ketty Lester.
Unfortunatly, this Karioki doesn't stretch to modern music, as the Vanser is an "Old Bastards Club" and is more akin to tea dances and those days when men had a say in what happend in a relationship. Not like now of course. Yet although I like the ambiance of the place, I am only still 34 (this month). So yes I hear you all shouting, what is Teddy doing hanging around with a load of old farts who remember the War and Nissan Huts, and No Bananas'? Well, I think the elderly have somthing to teach us - like sexual technique. And a blow job with the teeth out is quite refreshing. Not that Iiv tried this of course.Ha Ha Ha Ha.
Enyroad,
Regards
