Dear Suffers

Last night I went to a local haunt where amongst the Bingo and Solo Artist, they have a twenty question quiz.

One of these questions was "What was the name of the Roddy McDowell's character in the FILM VERSION of Planet of the Apes"?

The Answer is Cornelius.

Their answer was Galon. Galon was the character McDowell played in the 70's series, and was set at a different time in relation to the Cornelius character of the films. I went to WH Smiths in Liscard today, checking all this out in film guide books.

I don't suppose I will ever get an apology from the Quizmaster, Mike. Or for that matter John Revans, the owner of the club, who sets the questions in the first place. What really annoys me is when they gave the answer as Galon, my team mates ribbed me as I was sure the answer was Cornelius, and I today confirmed this. Thus my night was ruined, and although women(married) tried to get me to dance at the end of the evening, I was pissed off and inconsolable. People tried to then say 'It was only a quiz,Ted'. But do you know that feeling when you know your right, and their answer is wrong - AND YOU KNOW THEY ARE WRONG.

Yours annoyed.

Yep, I hear ya Ted. I've often contemplated suicide after failing to drive home a pertinent "Planet of the Apes" fact.
