Cocteau Twins

all of Treasure is on my 'sleep' playlist
Sixteen Days / Gathering Dust by This Mortal Coil is one of my favorite songs
I really like the Massive Attack's version of Teardop
more recently, one of the 'mashups' i really like is called School's Easy Tears
its basically Love's Easy Tears with this wrap by somebody called 'Large Professor' inserted in

also, Liz Frazier is Scottish so how can I not like her?
:D

Lovely music!

Have you heard Elizabeth Fraser on This Mortal Coils 'Song to the Siren'? - stunning!!

Song to the Siren can still make me cry;

On the floating, shipless, oceans
I did all my best to smile
'Til your singing eyes and fingers
Drew me loving to your isle
And you sang, "Sail to me, sail to me,
Let me enfold you,
Here I am, here I am
Waiting to hold you"
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you hare when I was fox?
Now my foolish boat is leaning
Broken lovelorn on your rocks
For you sing, "Touch me not, touch me not,
come back tomorrow: O my heart,
O my heart shies from the sorrow"
I am puzzled as the newborn child
I am troubled at the tide:
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Should I lie with death my bride?
Hear me sing, "Swim to me, swim to me,
Let me enfold you,
Here I am, Here I am,
Waiting to hold you"

:(
which may be good though
:)

their version of this song is f***ing STUNNING. leaves me breathless and goose pimply every time. i was lucky enough to see the cocteau twins twice - both were absolutely mind bendingly brilliant gigs.
